The following is the title and summary of Ordinance No.21-016 passed by the Spokane Valley City Council
on the 26th'day of October,2021:
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SPOKANE VALLEY, SPOKANE COUNTY, WASHINGTON,
LEVYING THE REGULAR PROPERTY TAXES FOR THE CITY OF SPOKANE VALLEY,
WASHINGTON FOR THE YEAR COMMENCING JANUARY 1,2022,TO PROVIDE REVENUE FOR
CITY SERVICES AS SET FORTH IN THE CITY BUDGET, AND OTHER MATTERS RELATING
THERETO.
Section 1 authorizes the levy to be collected in the 2022 tax year with the dollar amount of increase over
the actual levy amount from the previous year, as $0.00, which is a percentage increase of 0.0% from the
previous year. This section also notes the increase is exclusive of additional revenue resulting from new
construction, improvements to property,newly constructed wind turbines, any increase in the value of state
assessed property, any annexations that have occurred, and refunds made. Section 2 states that a complete
copy of the budget as adopted,together with a copy of this Ordinance,shall be transmitted by the City Clerk
to the Division of Municipal Corporations in the Office of the State Auditor, and to the Association of
Washington Cities. Section 3 speaks of severability, and Section 4 provides for an effective date. The full
