The following is the title and summary of Ordinance No.21-021 passed by the Spokane Valley City Council
on the 16th day of November, 2021:
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SPOKANE VALLEY, SPOKANE COUNTY, WASHINGTON,
AMENDING SECTION 2.40.010 OF THE SPOKA.NE VALLEY MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO
OATH OF OFFICE FOR INCOMING COUNCILMEMBERS AND SPECIFIC STAFF MEMBERS,AND
OTHER MATTERS RELATING THERETO.
Section 1 amends Spokane Valley Municipal Code 2.40.010 by removing the requirement that the oath or
affirmation be given before the Mayor. Section 2 speaks of severability, and Section 3 provides for an
effective date. The full text of Ordinance 21-021 is available at the City of Spokane Valley City offices as
identified above.A copy will be mailed upon request to the City Clerk.
