The following is the title and summary of Ordinance No. 43 passed by the City of Spokane
Valley City Council on the 25t' day of February, 2003.
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SPOKANE VALLEY, WASHINGTON,
RELATING TO THE ORGANIZATION, INTERPRETATION, FEE SCHEDULE AND
ENFORCEMENT OF THE iJNIFORM CODES ADOPTED BY THE CITY.
The introductory paragraphs state the ordinance provides for the administration of the uniform
codes.
Section 1 states the responsibility of the building official.
Section 2 addresses conflicts between the uniform codes.
Section 3 provides for interpretation of the codes.
Section 4 provides for modification of the codes.
Section 5 allows the City Manager to adopt rules and policies.
Section 6 establishes a fee schedule through Resolution.
Section 7 provides for appeal of code determination.
Section 8 provides for violations and penalties.
Section 9 establishes a severability clause in the event some portion of the Ordinance is held
invalid.
Section 10 states this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect five (5) days after publication of
the Ordinance Summary, and on the date of incorporation.
