BY SPOKANE VALLEY CITY COUNCIL
The following is the title and summary of Ordinance No. 53 passed by the City of Spokane
Valley City Council on the day of jLM03.
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SPOKANE VALLEY, WASHINGTON,
ADOPTING BY REFERENCE CHAPTERS 14.100 THROUGH 14.800 WITH
APPENDICIES ENTITLED THE SPOKANE COUNTY ZONING CODE AS
SUPPLEMENTED AND AMENDED BY THE PHASE I DEVELOPMENT
REGULATIONS AND THIS ORDINANCE AS THE INTERIM DEVELOPMENT
REGULATIONS OF THE CITY.
The introductory paragraphs state the City desires to adopt the Spokane County Zoning Code, as
amended.
Section 1 adopts the Spokane County Zoning Code.
Section 2 adds a new section entitled Administrative Variances.
Section 3 adds a new section entitled nonconforming uses.
Section 4 amends the section relating to nonconforming buildings.
Section 5 amends the Industrial Zone matrix.
Section 6 adopts other relevant laws.
Section 7 relates to Hearing Bodies.
Section 8 requires the City Clerk to maintain a copy of the Zoning Code.
Section 9 places permit responsibility on the applicant.
Section 10 establishes a severability clause in the event some portion of the Ordinance is held
invalid.
Section 11 states this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect five (5) days after publication of
the Ordinance Summary, and on the date of incorporation.
