RESOLUTION NO. 10-010
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SPOKANE VALLEY, SPOKANE COUNTY,
WASHINGTON, RELATING TO THE ADOPTION OF THE SPOKANE COUNTY
COMPREHENSIVE SOLID WASTE MANAGEMENT PLAN UPDATE FOR THE CITY OF
SPOKANE VALLEY,WASHINGTON.
WHEREAS, pursuant to the Washington State Solid Waste Management Reduction and
Recycling Act (RCW 70.95), Spokane County and cities within Spokane County must prepare a Solid
Waste Management Plan; and
WHEREAS, the Plan includes the unincorporated areas of Spokane County and the cities within
Spokane County; and
WHEREAS, Spokane County held public hearings and took testimony on April 28, 2009, and
took written testimony until 5:00 p.m. Tuesday,May 11,2009; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City of Spokane Valley to participate in the
implementation of the Plan.
NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Spokane Valley,
Washington as follows:
Section 1: The City of Spokane Valley, Washington hereby adopts the 2009 Update of the
Spokane County Comprehensive Solid Waste Management Plan, including revisions adopted by the
Board of County Commissioners on September 15,2009,via Spokane County the Resolution No. 9-0829.
Section 2: Effective Date: This Resolution shall be in full force and effect upon adoption.
ADOPTED by the City Council this 27th day of April,2010.
