RESOLUTION NO. 07-003
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SPOKANE VALLEY, SPOKANE COUNTY,
WASHINGTON, SETTING 'ME PUBLIC HEARING DATE AND TIME FOR THE
PLANNING COMMISSION TO CONSIDER STREET VACATION REQUEST STV-01-
07 PURSUANT TO RCW 35.79.010.
WHEREAS, the applicant's representative David Pruin, Gramor Development WA, LLC on behalf
of the owners Thomas Hamilton and David Thompson requests a vacation of a portion of an alley (15
feet wide by 300 feet deep) and concurrently dedicating right-of-way for the purpose of realigning the
alley approximately 26 feet south of the existing location. The alley is located south of Sprague Avenue,
north of l'' Avenue and west of Pines Road (SR-27) between Parcels 4521 1.0101, 45211.0102,
4521 1.0103,45211.0104,4521 1.0105 (north)and 4521 1.0119, 45211.0120, 4521 1.0125 (south),
WHEREAS, RCW 35.79.010 specifics that the legislative authority shall establish by resolution
the time when a Street Vacation application shall he considered by the legislative authority or a
committee thereof;and,
WHEREAS, the Spokane Valley Municipal Code 10.05.220 establishing regulations and
procedures for the processing of vacations of public streets (hereafter referred to as "Street Vacation");
and,
WHEREAS, Spokane Valley Municipal Code 10.05.310 specifies that the Planning Commission
shall conduct the public hearing required pursuant to RCW 35.79.010; and shall develop and forward a
recommendation for a requested Street Vacation to the City Council.
NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Spokane Valley, Spokane
County, Washington, as follows:
Section 1. Establishment of Public Hearing Date and Time for STV-01-07. The required
public hearing for Street Vacation Request STV-01-07 shall be conducted before the Spokane Valley
Planning Commission, May 10, 2007 beginning at 6:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers at the City
Hall of the City of Spokane Valley, 11707 East Sprague Avenue, Suite 101, Spokane Valley, Washington
99206.
Section 2. Effective Date. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect upon adoption.
Adopted this 10th day of April, 2007. .
